Submariner 40 Ref. 116610LV "Hulk"
ABOUT THE WATCH
Rolex's use of green started in 2003 as they observed the Submariner's 50th anniversary with the Rolex ref. 16610LV aptly nicknamed "Kermit" amongst fans. The Kermit boasted a green aluminum bezel and the first use of the "Maxi dial," which brought with it larger, more distinctive dial appliques, allowing for better visibility in low-light conditions.
The watch that succeeded the original 16610LV in 2010 was a "Super Cased" / "Maxi Dial" 116610LV. This reference introduced the first use of green ceramic in a Rolex watch and gave the new anniversary submariner an all-new, all-green suit. From its release, the 116610LV Submariner with a green bezel and dial seemed destined for a legendary and ubiquitous name. Amongst fanciers, this watch is affectionately named the "Hulk" for obvious reasons we won't spell out.
Here is some trivia for Rolex Fans: the "LV" in all green submariner references stands for Lunette Verte, which translates to "green bezel" in French.
This example of the 116610LV is in excellent condition. There are very few signs of wear or scratches on the case and bracelet. The dial and bezel are immaculate, and the bracelet is tight, with no stretch between the links. The inner rehaut is engraved beneath the six o'clock marker with the serial number “1008XXXX.” During our quality control check, any necessary adjustments are made to ensure the watch is functioning as intended.
This Submariner is presented as a watch and box only, with no card. The price is reflective of this omission.

THE BRANDRolex was founded in 1905 in London by Hans Wilsdorf and his brother-in-law, Alfred Davis. The company began as a modest endeavor, assembling watches from imported parts. However, Rolex soon grew into an internationally renowned brand through the great business strides that the young Hans made.
The Rolex name is inextricably linked to the ubiquity of the modern wristwatch, from humble beginnings to epitomizing achievement and prestige. The crown has transcended film, literature, fashion, culture, and history, worn by record-breakers, presidents, and fictional characters.
