GS9 "Kirazuri" Spring Drive Ref. SBGY023

The watch features a beautiful warm grey dial and runs on one of the brand's iconic Spring Drive calibers (the 9R31). The unique dial takes inspiration from the Shinshu region in Japan (where the Spring Drives movements are made by hand).

Gleaming under the light is the pattern known as kirazuri, a texture made famous by ukiyo-e woodblock prints depicting the Matsumoto Castle in Japan's Nagano Prefecture. The surface is reminiscent of fine printmaking paper with distinct roughness, letting the natural fibers shine through. On the SBGY023, the use of kirazuri creates dazzling, textured highlights.
