The Toric Qualité Fleurier comes with a promise of unrivaled craftsmanship and timekeeping performance. Established by Michel Parmigiani in 2004, Fleurier Quality certification has become the most demanding certification in the watchmaking world and represents a brand of unquestionable prestige for the Toric – the first watch ever created by Parmigiani Fleurier.

Modern wristwatches are considered ‘Swiss Made’ if their movement is cased in Switzerland and if the Swiss components account for at least 60% of their value. This is a very minimum standard, to say the least.

With the Qualité Fleurier, the watch (more precisely, the watch head and not the bracelet or buckle) must be 100% Swiss-made. The parts and material itself must be processed in Switzerland, with the exception of rolling, drawing, and wire drawing. In short, all components must be ‘indigenous’ to Switzerland except for the hairspring, which must be finished in Switzerland at a minimum.

To date, Bovet, Chopard, and Parmigiani Fleurier have worked in tandem to upkeep and uphold the strict requirements of the Qualité Fleurier seal of approval.

The Parmigiani Fleurier brand - a watch-making adventure that transcends the mundane - was created in Fleurier in 1996 and was guided by the passion of a man who remained faithful to the very essence of the watchmaker. Michel Parmigiani, master horologist, renowned restorer, and talented creator of mechanical time-keepers, dedicates his knowledge, which has been enriched by past and present teachings, to the benefit of the brand.

The Sandoz Family Foundation, who had tasked a young Michel Parmigiani to lead the restoration of their horological artifact collection, became interested in bringing Parmigiani's masterful work to the consumer market. In 1996, with the backing of the Sandoz Foundation, Parmigiani Fleurier was able to fit out its manufacturing workshops with the means to produce exceptionally high-quality goods. In less than 10 years, it achieved near complete vertical integration, and the industrial equipment deployed constitutes one of the rarest and most complete manufacturing workshops in Switzerland. The very essence of haute horology, such as attention to detail or the beauty of the embellishment of a simple or highly complicated movement, is the subject of great attention at Parmigiani Fleurier and is the reason for its international recognition.
